山东大学스포츠 토토 모바일 제로大学外语教学部(简称大外部),承担着全校3万多名本科生和3万多名研究生的公共英语教学任务,教学范围覆盖山东大学济南6个校区和青岛校区的40多个学院。大外部现有教职工126人,其中,专职教师119人,行政人员2人、教辅人员5人。专职教师中,教授8人,副教授54人。在职教工中,36人具有博士学位;79人具有海外学习或工作经历。大学外语教学部下设中心校区教研室、千佛山校区教研室、趵突泉校区教研室、青岛校区教研室、研究生公共英语教研室等5个教学单位。另外,大外部还设有5个研究实践中心,即:外语教学研究与发展中心、外语测试中心、网络视频课程中心、公共外语现代教育技术基础实验中心及山东大学第二课堂多模态外语实践中心。
根据国家社会的需求和学校发展的定位,大外部以立德树人为根本宗旨,以培养学生的跨文化交际能力、传播中华优秀传统文化能力为目标,积极推进教学内容、评估方法、教学模式的创新和改革,不断提高教学质量;积极融入课程思政教育内容,着力培养学生的综合文化素养,努力增强学生的自主性和创新性;致力于将知识学习体系与人格培育体系有机地融为一体,构建具有山大特色的大学英语教学体系。同时,大外部注重优化外语教学环境,鼓励和提倡教师实现教学实践和职业发展的个性化。鉴于在教学改革方面所取得的成就,山东大学曾被教育部批准为大学英语教学改革示范点学校;《大学英语》课程被评为国家级精品课程;大外部荣获山东省教学成果一等奖、三等奖;大外部教学团队被评为山东省省级教学团队。
经过长期的改革和探索,大外部形成了自己的特色。一、教学带动科研,科研反哺教学。大外部教师长期工作在教学一线,有丰富的教学经验和实践案例,这为外语教育研究奠定了坚实的基础;同时,科研指导教学实践,促进教学改革,形成教学与科研相互促进、共同发展的良好局面。二、多领域拓展,跨学科研究。大外部教师学科专业背景多种多样,不同学科的理论相结合,有利于在多个学科领域和跨学科领域培育新的科研增长点,开拓研究方向,丰富研究内容。三、团结协作,共享成果。大外部教师彼此熟悉、沟通顺畅、协作良好,能够开展广泛而深入的学术交流与合作,有利于提升整体的科研能力和教学水平。
近五年来,大外部的科研和教研取得了丰硕的成果。其中,获批国家级项目6项,省级项目23项,校级项目61项,横向项目9项,发表SCI或SSCI论文21篇,CSSCI论文49篇,出版专著11部,主编教材25部,获得省级奖励24项、校级奖励16项。
目前,大外部设有7个方向的科研奋进小团队,各有负责人一名,成员若干名。“育贤论坛”是大外部打造的品牌学术交流活动,每两周邀请校内、外专家举办一次外语教研、科研讲座。
College English Department (CED), a teaching department in the School of Foreign Languages and literature, Shandong University (SDU), undertakes the English teaching tasks for non-English majors of about 30,000 undergraduates and more than 30,000 graduates. The undergraduates and graduates are from over 40 schools of SDU, which are located on the 6 campuses in Jinan and the campus in Qingdao. CED has 126 faculty members, including 119 teachers, 2 administrative staff members and 5 teaching assistants. Among them, there are 8 professors and 54 associate professors; 36 members have Ph.D. degrees and 79 members have overseas working or studying experiences.
CED consists of 5 subsidiary teaching sections, namely, the Teaching Section of Central Campus, the Teaching Section of Qianfoshan Campus, the Teaching Section of Baotuquan Campus, the Teaching Section of Qingdao Campus, and the Teaching Section of Public English for graduates. Besides, it has 4 research centers: Foreign Languages Teaching Research and Development Center, Foreign Languages Testing Center, Modern Educational Technology Experimental Center and Global Internet Course Center.
Based on the needs of the social and national development and the orientation of SDU, with fostering moral virtues as the fundamental purpose, and with improving students' ability of cross-cultural communication and their ability to transmit the fine traditional Chinese culture as the objects, CED actively advances the innovation and reform in teaching contents, teaching modes and assessment methods to future improve the teaching quality. It integrates political education into English teaching, improves students’ general cultural awareness, and strengthens their creativity and the ability to study independently. The department is committed to building a college English teaching system with SDU’s characteristics by integrating the knowledge learning system with the personality cultivation system. At the same time, the department attaches great importance to the construction of foreign language teaching environment and encourages individualized teaching practice and career development. Due to CED’s achievements in teaching reform, SDU has ever been approved as one of the Model Universities in College English Teaching Reform by the Ministry of Education of China; the course College English has been awarded the title of National Excellent Course; the department has won the First Prize and the Third Prize of Teaching Achievement Award of Shandong Province; and one of the teaching groups in the department has been awarded the Shandong Provincial Teaching Group Prize.
After long-term reform and exploration, CED has formed its own characteristics. First, mutual promotion between teaching and research. Many teachers in the department have been teaching college English for a long time and thus have accumulated rich teaching experience and various practical cases, which has laid a solid foundation for the research in foreign language education. At the same time, scientific research provides guidance for the teaching practice and the teaching reform. As a result, teaching and research promote each other and develop together. Second, multi-field expansion and interdisciplinary research. The diversity of the professional backgrounds of the teachers and the combination of theories from different disciplines are conducive to the focus of new research points in different and interdisciplinary fields, the diversification of research directions, and the enrichment of research resources. Third, close collaboration and sharing findings. The faculty members are familiar with each other, and are able to communicate smoothly and collaborate effectively. Therefore, they could carry out extensive and in-depth academic exchanges and cooperation, which significantly improves the overall research and teaching abilities of the department.
In the past five years, CED has achieved fruitful research results. Among them, 6 research programs at the state level, 23 research programs at the provincial level, 61 research programs at the university level, as well as 9 horizontal cooperation programs, have been approved; 21 SCI/SSCI papers, 49 CSSCI papers, 11 monographs and 25 textbooks have been published. In addition, 24 prizes at the provincial level and 16 prizes at the university level have been awarded to the staff members.
At present, there are 7 research teams in CED, each of which has a teacher as its leader and several other members. The series of academic exchange activities, branded as "Forum for Cultivating Talents", was initiated by the department. This forum is held once every two weeks, and experts from SDU or other universities are invited to give reports on foreign language teaching and research.
